This was the group’s 7th installment since they launched this series in the Philippines in May 2017.
The event began with an opening act from Timog, one of the up-and-coming bands that performed some of their best acoustic covers and was then followed by the first set, which was presented by a female life drawing model. She meticulously executed poses ranging from 2 to 20 minutes long and drew an overwhelming response from the artists.
The second set featured a male life drawing model who performed equally dramatic poses with his head festooned with a late nineteenth-century headdress embellished with a cervidae skull. This personification served the artists with a different approach in exploring the human figure like no other. Both sets lasted for one hour each.
The highlight of the night was the final set where the nude male and female models joined together and exemplified tribal personas with their breathtaking poses. There were three different poses in this segment that lasted from 5 to 20 minutes long, giving the artists ample time to work on their art pieces.
Faber-Castell Philippines, the event’s official art material partner, brought in their top-notch drawing mediums and let everyone use it for free. Beers and light canapes were also served during the session.
As Pens N’ Brushes’ goal to boost the art community intensifies, The Life Drawing Session will continue to inspire and deliver exceptional nude drawing events!
