The clip shows the enigmatic artist showcasing the track here in the Philippines (her native country), performing by the sun and exploring that landscape that has shaped the project and her as an individual.
On the track and video ((( O ))) says:
“The lyrics and melody came to me while I was getting drenched in rain driving my shitty motorbike. And I recorded the guitar part when I got home to my also pretty shitty treehouse studio. I was high from the rawness of living that kind of life off-grid. My friend flew from Amsterdam to film this video with me. We did this on all solar power – this was a necessity for me. I wanted every element of the process to be as pure as the track itself. I wanted to portray the raw honesty of nature and where my creativity stems from”
‘Je Suis Infini’ is taken from her debut album ‘((( 1 )))’, which starts a “12-year Sundrop journey of returning back to nature” and draws on influences from the environment, her surroundings and her fight to make the world a more sustainable place to live and that’s before you even touch on the complex musical tastes that create her exciting and experimental R&B sound.
“The blueprint of this project has been brewing for the past seven years and has been my literal blood, sweat and tears to manifest it as just the beginning transformation of what will be shared and grown with everyone.”
Residing on an island in the Philippines, ((( O ))) works from her own treehouse studio completely off-grid, performing and writing everything herself on a mix of modern and traditional instruments. The album was also made using the help of solar energy to power equipment and seen by ((( O ))) “a direct gift from the sun and an opportunity to create.”
