Do you know that the first step to a sustainable lifestyle is learning how to use the things that you already have? And if you're like most people, then you probably have old t-shirts lying around! In this workshop, you'll learn how to make a tote bag, produce bag, and facial cotton pads with them.
Note: Students are required to bring their own old t-shirts (any size, color) for this project.

• How to sew a tote bag
• How to sew a produce bag
• How to make facial cotton pads
You'll take home:
• Reusable cotton pads
• Produce bag
• Tote bag
Materials to be borrowed/returned:
• Fabric scissors
• Portable sewing machine
About the Instructor: Sam Dizon is the founder of Candid Clothing, a local fashion social enterprise that creates collections from upcycled fabric. She's been running small eco-friendly businesses since she was 15. Sam hopes to encourage others to go against throw-away culture by teaching them to find new uses for old things.
