Offshoot is a two-day mini lecture series exploring the landscape of Philippine photography, through a variety of photographers and editors working in different genres of the practice. The series aims to create discussion-based talks that educate image makers of every level on the different aspects of photography, especially in the context of the local scene. Offshoot also aims to bring the various branches of the photo community together and celebrate the medium’s diversity.
Speakers will include photographers of various disciplines, including portrait photographer Joseph Pascual, documentary photographer Veejay Villafranca, and artist Czar Kristoff. On the second day, there will be a portfolio review with industry practitioners, including Artists and Company senior producer Mafia Escasinas, Tarzeer Pictures gallery co-founder Gio Panlilio, and Young Star editor Maine Manalansan. More speakers will be announced soon.
