In Natural Progression, a loose survey of contemporary Philippine practitioners is made to see how botanical illustration has been used as method of inquiry, material of expression, and even as means of protest. Curated by Ricky Francisco, the exhibition aims to give form to botanical illustration’s artistic inclination in our contemporary contexts.
Despite his modest palette and nondescript subjects, artist Lyndon Maglalang’s fluency in expressing the human psyche and emotion are revealed in a vicarious narrative of “happy accidents” and sentimental incorporations. In his upcoming solo exhibition, “Behold”, Lyndon takes us into the environment of his contemplative nature.
Both Exhibitions will open on February 29, 6 pm and will be on view until March 15, 2020.
