Taga-Alog, a joint project by PETA and NCCA aimed to promote Pasig River as a space for cultural identity and collective memory, will have its culminating concert this Saturday. As the creative campaign nears its conclusion, Taga-Alog 2019 seeks to consolidate all of its gains—fruits of the projects’ various education and capacity-building activities, active engagement of stakeholders in rehabilitation efforts, and the commitment of key partners and stakeholders—through a night of music.
With the concert title “ASUL” or blue, the concert wishes to embody the lifelong dream for Pasig River: that its waters may someday be clear enough to reflect the blue skies above it.
In order to promote the advocacy that calls everyone to move forward and immerse oneself in being a “taga-alog” or shaker—an ambassador for the rehabilitation of the Pasig River until it becomes clean and alive once again—they organizedASUL, The Taga-Alog 2019 Grand Concert.
Taga-Alog 2019 official ambassadors Noel Cabangon, Aicelle Santos, and Ben&Ben will be joined by other local artists in celebration of what the campaign has forged throughout the past months.
Happening on November 9, 2019 at Main Oval, Rizal High School in Pasig City. The program will start at 6:00 PM.
