Cinco de Mayo is originally celebrated to commemorate the victory of Mexican Army against French Forces during the Battle of Puebla in 1862. However, it has largely become a day of revelry around the world and in most cases, in the wrong and insensitive interpretation of the said celebration especially towards the Mexican culture.
As purveyors of culture and the music and arts scene locally, Z Hostel, in partnership with Jose Cuervo and Corona, is paying homage to this historic Mexican event combined with its unique brand of fun and celebration.
The streets of Poblacion, Makati and its most famous establishments will see a festive atmosphere once again with musical performances from top local acts and Mexican food by both up-and-coming and popular Mexican cuisine joints. See the poster below for the line-up that you wouldn’t want to miss!
So put on those dancing shoes and be in for another night of sensory spectacle. See you on the dancefloor!
