Jacob Yulo, also known as alpha yang, is set to release his sophomore self-produced record “DOUBLE SEASON” on June 5th.

After the release of his debut album “Spellbound”, alpha yang has been featured in Spotify Official Playlists such as New Music Friday Philippines and Pinoy Indie Mix. His songs have then been featured in the radio stations Magic 89.9 and Jam 88.3 and one of them being featured in a movie called “Isa Pa with Feelings”. His new album includes tracks like “FIRE” and “TAKE MY LOVE”, which have garnered thousands of streams.

Having been featured in the hit movie “Isa Pa with Feelings” featuring Maine Mendoza and Carlo Aquino, performing at “Rappler Live Jam”, and gaining momentum off his debut album “Spellbound”, Jacob Yulo, otherwise known as alpha yang, is set to release his sophomore record “DOUBLE SEASON”.

alpha yang is a 20 year old Chinese-Filipino producer/singer-songwriter/performer born in Manila. When he had no luck in joining any band in high school, he decided to make alpha yang as a compromise. The project started out with EDM remixes on Soundcloud, before making his own original content in his bedroom. His sound has now developed into what he calls  a dense bedroom pop, having a blend of Pop, R&B, Rock and more.

With constant gigging and releasing, alpha yang has grown humble but a loyal fan base. He’s since been featured in official Spotify Playlists such as “New Music Friday Philippines” and “Pinoy Indie Mix”. His songs have also been played in radio stations such as Jam 88.3, Magic 89.9, Magic 92.3 and Radyo Katipunan 87.9.

“DOUBLE SEASON” tackles topics such as awareness, love, and reflections on the different possibilities that one can experience in any given situation.
